lol i might have to employ some horse brasses on my latest project, then i can blag that they are part of the necessary faraday cage, preventing stray EM waves from influencing cone movement, and dissipating eddy currents within the vicinity...............

Slick! My kind of 'pipe dream'. 😉

Wondering how this enclosure would work for the CHR70? Any thoughts? I like the profile of this box and want to do something similar with the CHR70.

Though your suggestion of a faraday cage is highly implausible, thanks for the suggestion of using horse brasses, those might be some interesting shapes!
Uncle Meat- Thanks for the link to your thread, though I wish I could read German! Seems you didn't use a port? I gather you increased tube height to compensate for the smaller tube cross-sectional area?

Without port, it would be a CB.. The lower part is only there, so I have some space for a notch filter.. There are some holes in the rear side below the "base disk", total around 2 times the end area of the line..
The cross section is only 6% smaller than Henkjans box, I guess that makes no audible difference.
I used cardboard templates to find the proper shape for the "divider board".
Reviving an old thread to ask if Fountek FR88ex will work in this enclosure.
I already have some 18mm plywood and the Fountek drivers of course and i would like to try a desktop tl sort in height as the first picture.
Thanks in advance.

Check these out, specifically designed for this FOuntek, 3 or the 5 designs are desktop, have been built and proven good.

Yes, you have wright, Ken Lite has the same height 27 cm as Henkjan's design but i guess not the same bass extension.
Henkjan,
Are you the one who made a curved cabinet for a school project? If so, can you say how you did the mold?

Thanks Dave,
there is minor difference on spl only.
Do you think that Ken Lite, will have more bass extension than that?

All i can say is that, subjectively, the TML with A5 does not go as low as any of the Fountek Five and does not go as low as the sim would indicate (low end to not much below 100 Hz)
