In theory that should work, from your Windows PC can you ping the daphile IP address 10.0.0.60
Your Windows PC, from a command prompt, enter PING 10.0.0.60, hit enter.
Wait for it to complete.
Next, enter arp -a, hit enter. What response do you get ?

The problem seems to be related that the router is on a 10.0.0.x network and daphile is on 192.168.0.x network, the router and daphile need to be on the same subnet ie: 10.0.0.x or 192.168.0.x
You will need to change your router to 192.168.0.138 / 255.255.255.0 or change daphile to 10.0.0.x / 255.255.255.0 / Gateway address 10.0.0.138 (where x is a number between 1 and 254 but not 138 because thats the router address)
Use the advice vdi_nenna provided in post #4414 so you don't have two devices with the same IP address.
Example:
Daphile - IP address - 10.0.0.150
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
Gateway Address - 10.0.0.138
Router - IP address - 10.0.0.138
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
or
Daphile - IP address - 192.168.0.150
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
Gateway Address - 192.168.0.138
Router - IP address - 192.168.0.138
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
Also what with the DNS servers and search domain in Daphile they can't be left blank, thanks
You can leave the search domain as 0.0.0.0 and if you don't know your ISP's DNS server address then you can use 1.1.1.1 for the DNS server address.
No WIFI just Ethernet

If daphile and the Windows PC are not connected to the internet then the DNS server IP addresses are not needed buts its a good idea to add them just in case. We also don't need the router or default gateway IP address for the same reason.

Thank you i will get back to you shortly after using those settings, and doing a ping and arp-a and posting the results. If they don't work then maybe a crossover cable or patch cable is needed, WIFI would be so much easier, do you use a USB WIFI adapter and if so what one do you use? Thanks
So just to be clear what do I enter into Firefox to connect to Daphile
Is it 10.0.0.60 or Daphile local different types of entries?

I don't use daphile but its like all the other linux audio server applications where you can enter the ip address to access, so type 10.0.0.60 into firefox and hit enter and you should see the daphile web interface (hopefully).
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Okay, something amiss.
Lets try this:
Daphile Settings
IP address: 10.0.0.60
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Router: leave blank or 0.0.0.0
DNS servers: 1.1.1.1
Search domains: 0.0.0.0
PC Settings

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: leave blank
DNS servers
Prefered DNS server 1.1.1.1
Alternate DNS server: 1.0.0.1
Then from your windows pc from the command prompt, enter PING 10.0.0.60, hit enter.

IP address: 10.0.0.60
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Router: leave blank or 0.0.0.0
DNS servers: 1.1.1.1
Search domains: 0.0.0.0
PC Settings

Finally got it working I could not leave the default gateway blank so used 0.0.0.0 and that did it Iam taking note off thes settings and saving in a hundred different places for safety. One other thing is that I am unable to see my internal music drives D and E so at the moment I have to use my plug in backup USB drives which is less than perfect is there a way to see those drives? Anyway thanks for all your help it means a lot to me and those drinks still stand
Good to see you got it working, sharing your windows pc E and D drives might be a bit more complicated, hopefully other daphile users will provide some guidance. I would simply use USB drives plugged into the daphile computer directly, its just plug and play, this is what I do with my Rpi and volumio.
So I got the drive thing sorted out
Go to storage find the drive with your music
Click on usage select music from drop down list
Go to very bottom of page and click save and restart
And that will make the drive available
You can name the disk whatever you want to make it easier to identify.
I have some other questions for the items user power
It has my CPU set at 1.000 GHz(it is running perfectly fine as is)when it actually runs at 4GHz is this for audio quality in some way? Also
Clock source is TSC is that the beast option from what I have read it seems that it is but it is good to get other options.
Another setting is Hyper threading is it better to disable or not?
Then there is firmware caching should that be enabled and what benefit would it provide versus disadvantages.
Now Enable pci device runtime power management
I could see no real benefit to enabling any of them but if someone has advice on that that would be greatly appreciated.
Once again a big thank you to everyone that helped me get this up and running any tips and tricks for improving the sound (if that’s possible) are very welcome.
One last thing if I insert a formatted USB drive go to system firmware and select that drive from the drop down list can I reinstall to that drive for a backup?

I have another question
How do you clear the ram cache after playing files from ram drive I now only hav 700mb of ram out of 16 Gb how to clear this. Thanks

Don’t worry I it’s just the crazy guy who doesn’t go away,
I was thinking about the speed of the cpu and if it’s clock speed is close to the frequencies of the files being played would that have any effect on the quality of the sound, I play a lot of DSD files mainly DSD128 or 5.64 MHz that fits pretty well with 1.4 GHz has anyone tried this and if so what were your thoughts on it.
