Daphile - Audiophile Music Server & Player OS

Thanks @phofman! Fascinating to see the code used. I tried creating a simple folder new folder called flacs with only one subfolder called test containing just on file called test.flac. Still get the same error. Also LMS on the Synology copes fine and scans with no issues. Also I tried Volumio and it coped ok and scanned fine.

The share is mounted into the local directory only once, using the username and password. Then the linux user must have access to the remote dirs, checked by samba on the remote side. Does the user under which LMS runs (i.e. the user accessing the mounted directery) really have proper access rights to the remote share?

i dont recall the version i was running on above player before updating.

but i do have another player running ver 19.01 that is still working and pulling in files from network drive.

cifs://***.***.*.***:/flac

why doesn't this work with ver 19.12?

it's driving me crazy trying to figure out!! lol (it does keep me out of trouble).

I have a streacom fc5 fanless case with an I5 8600 cpu. It can process pcm to dsd 128 with no issues but over heats after 20 minutes when upsampling dsd256. Would a i9 9900t support dsd512 upsampling? I have heard cpu freq is more important than number of cores but 16 threads is a big jump from 6 cores?

I successfully made a bootable USB stick per the Daphile instructions and it boots and runs from my windows 7 desktop no problem...and I can see it on my network and I ripped a CD for fun..all good.

I have a couple of IEI single board computers laying around; a model PV-5252 and a PV-5253..they are both atom processors booting off of CF cards and running win7 embedded. I would like to use one of these as my headless Daphile device.

My first issue is that the bios on these SBCs do not have USB as a boot option, so my USB stick isn't an option. I also made a bootable 2Gig CF card in my desktop card reader with the Daphile ISO image and installed this in the PV-5252 Atom board.

It begins to boot...and I get this......followed by a black screen.......any ideas?

Daphile on MSI Mega180 clock stuck UTC not local

I have Daphile running on a 32bit i686 PC that has a clock on it that displays at all times, but it only displays UTC time even though the correct time zone is set in Daphile and Daphile shows correct local time.
Does anyone know how to correct this?
I did read of a setting "the configuration option was in the file /etc/default/rcS. Changing the line UTC=yes to UTC=no" but I cannot SSH into Daphile.
Any help appreciated.

Hi there, I use Daphile now and love it very much, but I wish the Tidal integration was a bit better and also sometimes it just stops playing tracks and if I click on tidal it says failed to login and to check credentials. Any ideas? I am running the latest firmware.

Kindest Regards
Danny

Since this is not a Daphile issue, but generic for Logitech Media Server it's best to go to this forum and search for Tidal. You can ask your question over there: 3rd Party Software

Daphile Lovers, please help.

I has been successfully using daphile on an Intel NUC for over a year and a half now. I have partitioned the hard drive to have a daphile software section and a music storage section.

I was mucking around in settings the other day and noticed the daphile was still using wifi even though an ethernet cable is plugged in. So I tried changing the settings to turnoff wifi and use the ethernet cable. Well....

Now it won't boot up correctly and it cannot connect to my network. When I boot it from the USB it says it is a wifi hotspot only; which I am reading from this forum means it cannot connect to the network. I tried assigning it a static ip in the F1 of the usb boot up to no avail either.

Is there a way I can get it to connect to the network or get into settings to reconfigure my blunder? My concern with a new install is losing all my data on the music storage partition of the hard drive. Or will the scan in F1 notice the partitions and I will be able to reinstall on the correct partition and it will not touch the data side?

Any advice would be appreciated. I promise not to touch the wifi setting again!
