Not surprised. The 1690 sounds just terrible to me.
And hard to compete against nothing at all 🙂

Amen.
Twist the + and - cables for outputs?
//
I will, its just a test run at the moment.🙂
I will try to set a LePacific buffer stage after "raw" to be able to connect to different sources. Have had good result with it earlier and think it would be nice implemented.

Well...why add two coupling caps into your chain to achieve what ? The 1941 has already 620/310 ohm output impedance only....which should actually drive anything I could imagine...

Why not just add one of those H2 generators Pass gives away as presents? 😀
Okay. I see you have your thougts but I will have a try anyway. Could be as simple as an tube amp can sound better or a transformers sound better... Have nothing to do with measurements or calculation. Just what please your ear. Could skip the first cap sins there is no DC i assume..

I got in a different thread this hint of Euro21:
"My 1941 is "floating", neither PSUs nor DAC board "grounded". Output RCAs also floating.
I use one ladder output as "hot", other as "cold" connected to RCA.
Try it."
Well, if I get this right, we get double the voltage Vpp this way, no ?

Nice....I will try this...who is not happy to get double the gain with no pain ?
I might be able to use a 2:1 OPT this way down the road, which gives plenty of new options to play with...

We have a little too many in stock of the dam1941-12, so for a limited time there will be a special on them, only EUR 500 each, a 10% off, get one while you can....

How to order this? I sent an email and got no response. I don’t see a way to order directly from a website.
Nice, I purchased a few weeks ago for a full price ... lucky me ...
Peter Daniel,
I saw you improved your one with some Black Gates, which are much less in capacity compared to the originals. Is there any specific reason/consideration behind or just these were on the shelf?
6,3V Capacitors should be enough?

There was a previous discussion about it already, and not everybody agreed with my choices.
Just put less capacitance there and see how it works for you 😉
6.3V after regulators should be fine.

Don't see any email that looks like its from you, and nothing in my spam folder...., what email address did you send it from ? Maybe try sending it again, or send it to my backup, soekris@yahoo.com....
