I only have seen the datasheet from fairchild, and looks worse than the NXP.
And yes i´m talking about early voltage.

NXP has good stuff.
Even for JFETs they have better specs than Fairchild.
I buy NXP whenever I can.

I have a curve tracer.
i will try some transistors at 10ma to 20ma to see the better one.
And to compare data with the spice models.

So, is this a race? 😀
I can slap some TO-3's in there.... juice them up to 100mA or so...
I am not sure,
baxandall super pair or some circuit can suppress the current fluctuations caused by early effect and Cob, can't it?
smms73's first circuit seems returns them to output too.

17 mA will give you a function time of app.. 8-10 hours on at 9V rechargeable battery...But of course some kind of charging system could be made.. Normally I would defer any switches in the signal path....I am not really sure this is in the signal-path, as it's floating around...🙂

I have try the baxandall super pair, and it works, its a nice concept too.
i dont have time right now, but later i will talk about this.
thanks Shinja
Circuit ideas are popping up here like flowers in spring ! I really have fun. This is very different then other threads where is only talk. I appreciate it.
HI-ZEN
Another one ( HI-ZEN )
distortion 0.000022% at 8ma pp 10khz
V3 and V4 will be a complementar Vbe multiplier.
I like this one 🙂

Enjoy the spring while it lasts, because the gardener has to go back to other projects 🙂

0.00005% 10khz 8ma-pp 500ohm input 0,5v rms out
this use BISS transistores from nxp, very good for low inpedance input.

Whoa! cascoded darlingtons! cool! I like this one a lot!
I don't think you need C1 if you are operating in class A.
I worked with Malkolm in the 90th. I know his work well.
This BISS transistors are really special. Not much voltage they can stand but a lot of current !
I would still try one of your circuits an an input stage for a phono. I could not stabilize the first circuit i made. What do you recommend i could try ?

One thing that i like in the ZEN style is the way the output capacitor (c6) serves to limit the band of the amplifier and to stabilize all the circuit.
It need a good power supply.

I think you should try snubbers, there are some examples in some of the circuits i post. try the nodes that i call UP and DOWN, or at the input, but it help if you post a circuit.
