Hi Quanghao,
I've just paid the remaining half of my order (USD 455) and the shipping costs (USD 127 for FedEx).
Have you been able to change the AES/EBU to an additional Toslink?
Thank you very much, looking forward to receiving this DAC!
Matt

So will be necessary some listen tests to check the best configuration.
Thanks Andrea, it's clear now.
I'm only interested in the DAC SE outputs, so now I wonder which one is best:
1) ES9018 balanced -> 10-20ohm I/V resistor -> unbalancer transformer/tubes -> tube output
2) ES9018 SE -> 10 I/V resistor -> tube output
ES9018 in SE looks like the most simple, but is there any advantage in using the ES9018 in balanced output when going to a SE output stage ?
Regards,
Danny
output stage consideration - part2
Here some output stages to test:
1) Original ES9018 schematic for evaluation - active IV with feedback (balanced)
Common op-amp configuration
2) Actual op-amp module
used also in Mark Levinson no. 380 and published on OPA627 datasheet as High Speed Instrumentation Amplifier (balanced to use in voltage or current mode with passive IV)
3) Lundahl LL1684 (balanced in voltage mode)
4) Satri design (not suggested)
5) AD844 design (not suggested)
6) My design based on Phase Tech HD-7A (balanced current mode)
7) Raleigh Audio Line Stage clone with K & K Audio Basic CCS modules (balanced current mode with passive IV)
8) DAC End 2 I/V - SE with 5687 or E182CC by Quanhao (un-balanced current mode with passive IV)
I should test many of these in the next days.

9) Broskie unbalancer, scroll down to "Unbalancer as I-to-V Converter"
Some people who have tried it, find it one of the best.

I don't consider the Broskie unbalancer a good circuit for many reasons.
Caad why don;t you show your circut. THAT;s one off the best.
+1
Hi Quanghao,

Quanghao : any news about the casing ? I'll transfer my remaining payment once the status of casings are OK. Thank you.
ok, I have to ask the carrier and will notify you soon.
Hi Quanghao
any update about shipping price if Fedex?
Hi Quanghao,
Just made 2nd payment for the balance.
The kit: DAC base + Kit I/V stage + Aluminium chassis = 610/2 = USD305
Shipping by Fedex = USD 80
Total =USD385
Many Thanks

Hi Quanghao,
Will this XLR fits the I/V out board?
Please also provide us links for procuring all the necessary I/O connectors
Cheers,
halook
yes
