I think that if you mount the transformers in an external box that there should be plenty of room. At least that's my plan.

No, at 35, spot 11 is empty.
The difference between 20 and 35 is not that big, if you look at mouser, digikey, the pricecuts only start at 50 and 100.

The real profit will only come if Quanghao can convince the community that this is significantly better than the similar Buffalo from TPA.

I don't really think in terms of sound quality this will be a lot better than TPA, but is certainly a more complete package ( All P/S, I/V op, chassis, 4 inputs + remote display, etc)
