Hello @Michelag , yes i have tried this version with the SITIME clock. I would recommend you to go for the U30 without hesitation.Hello there, did you have the chance of trying this one

And comparing to JLsounds or this interesting Ü30?
The U30 is easily better in most of the DAC boards posted here.
Sorry for the late reply.

Thats me 😅
Nixie will give it a whirl soonish, as soon as he comes by my place, and compare since he uses amanero clones in a lot of his builds, so he will be able to tell differences between the two better than me.
Yep, use linear supply for it. At first glance they appear to have done a better job for external supply with 2 pins free by the connector, but not one has gnd connection. So you still have to scrape solder mask a bit on the bottom to connect gnd. That's the exact one and seller that I've just bought. It's been dispatched also.
Was reading up on removing L1 (0 ohm resistor actually) and I shall use a separate cleaner 5v PSU.

Can he use the Gnd pads on the back end? I might grab one of these as well.
For standard use with 2 channel output in I2S/NOS dac mode it is tested quite well, including RPi.This also seems legendary, but it sounds like it won't be "plug and play", considering I use with USB output my DAP and raspberry... Let's wait
Always as close as possible to the Vdc in.Can he use the Gnd pads on the back end? I might grab one of these as well.
What are the current requirements for the U30? I have a spare Salas L adapter in my DAC chassis now as I have removed the Rpi.
friends, what could be a solution other than raspberry to access my NAS through wifi? Some board with software that i can embed in the box? Isn't there some China gig?
I've recently purchased a Wiim Ultra as I was fed up with my Rpi not behaving most of the time. It is an amazing device, and can send the USB/coax/optical audio to our DIY dacs.
I believe you can connect a NAS to it.

Hello Rich,
This is what I did.
page 17 of the AD797 datasheet. I used smd caps and resistors and solder direct on socket pins.
The manufacturer can't be wrong, but I tried removing C1 and i did not put it back again..... i prefer C1 gone.
