DAC AD1862: Almost THT, I2S input, NOS, R-2R

I did search before posting. Not a single link in the search results explains how to check a true "silver wire mid-70 voskhod" tube. The only description I found is a single wire getter. It will qualify tons of tubes. I cannot trust stamps on the tubes, especially since they all look like new on ebay. The stamps on most Russian tubes that I have are barely readable. If you know how to check a true "silver wire mid-70 voskhod" tube, I would greatly appreciate it.
Of course you need to trust the seller.
Year of production is stamped, as well as factory and symbols.
Otherwise you can open the tube, run some spectrogram of the shield to see whether it's silver.
However, I wrote wrong "silver wire", it is "single wire" getter (and silver screen).

Picture 1, 6n23p Voskhod mid 70s, single wire. The ones I talk about.
2 and 3, other 6n23p easily to be found around.

If you're picky and rich enough, there's the Reflektor "holy Grail", which I never had the chance to hear to:

I bought Shiga clone cd transport kit and Ian's
Spidif receiver pi to attach my rpi- fifopi q3-ad1862 dac.
But the receiver pi add some noise so I am thinking to build spidif dac.
I am wondering what to build.
I have 2 ad1862 dac built so I am thinking
Pcm58p or tda1541a if I can get the chip...
Are there any recommendations?

I would go for a vintage TDA1541A CD Player, You should find it easily if living in Japan.

A modded TDA1541A CD player can sound very good tweaked if you need a cd player for your discs.

This is odd Ian's stack up adds noise you can hear, you should ask him.

Fix that noisy AD1862 first. It's a shame it stays that way. The AD1862 is an exceptional DAC. Install an I2S over USB board and two separate linear power supplies for it. Install AK4118 SPDIF/TOSLINK receiver board with I2S input for USB board and separate power supply for it. Get a fanless PC and enjoy noiseless sound reproduction.

Thank you for advice.
I will look tda1541a more.
Yes,there are vintage cd players around but I consist on enjoying DIY even spend more.
May be it's only like Lego block building like.
Actually I didn't need cd player,I usually listen from roon pc ,but after built phono stage, somehow I am interested in cd player.
I am newb to audio system so.

Since you have that JLS/AD1862 combo without shift registers, maybe it's better to keep the existing configuration but somehow solve the noise problem. If possible of course. If it's not possible, then you also need a new PCB for the AD1862, and that's a lot of work all together.

What is the use oh H2 header on the JLSOUNDS board ? Is it an spidf I2S output (does it make sense ? Well maybe to drive from a computer a spidf input dac board ?) or SPIDF coax input ruled by the FGPA with output on the H3 header according the programation pins?

If I understand you Tamra, this is just the spidf Ian board that makes noise and not the Fifopi, rigth ?

I will check jlsound board that I am not understanding .

Actually noise on Ian's spdif is very little I feel.
But I think those ddc is very sensitive.
Small things affect sound.
I have double reclocker board make it completely quiet but lose something.
It took long time to make it good sounding enough so then I don't want to add even small noise.
I am not complaining Ian's boards, the fifopi q3 is amazing with good PSU and clock.
But I gave up using rpi3 and spdif board same time.I tried separate PSU on rpi and spdif then Turn off spdif for playing rpi but sound didn't came out. Rpi source only worked when spdif board is on that spdif board stack between rpi and fifopi reclocker.
I also tried amanero usb + fifopi without rpi but I prefer using rpi.

I have finished salas ubib and super regulator
So I am thinking to try another dac chip now.
Same time,I want to try Andrea's R2R dac

Thanks for comments.
