IIRC the MAOP comes with the driver bezels fixed to the frame.

Your Alpair 10P is probably mounted without the bezels attached?

I made templates for my most recent speaker build and used a follower bit on my router. That worked pretty good. You could make the hole in the template to fit your new driver then place the template centered over the old hole.

I use pin nails and clamps to hold the template in place while I route out the hole.

does the depth of the recess change as well?

For sure I ran into this particular issues on my time trying a swap. I still have not gotten the opening routed out to match. Alas....

I expect the A10p you have don’t have the decorative bezel cover, but it comes pre-affixed at the factory on the MAOP.

dave shows his expert knowledge of the MA drivers. Pulled out a NIB Alpair 10p. (I've got drivers stacked up that need time made for). Yes, trim rings are optional on the Alpairs. Time to think.
