Hi!
I'm looking for the old Creek CAS 4040 (v1 or v2) amplifier schematic.
This is an old UK made amplifier from 80's.
Thanks in advance if someone have this.
Stephane

Hi Martin!
Thanks for this schematic but I did a mistake. I requested the s1 model but in fact, I have 2 models: s2 and s3 nor s1.
If you have these ones too, thanks in advance. Specially, the s1 model witch is the one in trouble. I have big "ploc" at startup and when powered off.

Sorry I can't help there, but I suggest you email Creek - they provided the schematic I've posted free by email when I asked them nicely!
Hello, I need this schematics too, for the S1. Can anyone send it to me, please? E-mail is info@mariopankov.com
Thanks!
Thanks!
big jim, thanks for the power section schematics ! Do you have the preamp section too?
Thanks, Georg
Thanks, Georg
Hi win33, thanks a lot - but I should have been more specific: I need the schematics of the s2 version.

The schematic win33 mentioned is the s2 version - as far as I know. Please state your amp's serial number. I have the schematics of the CAS 4040 #9000 onwards (discreet darlington), and the schematics #13250/13690 onwards (darlington transistors). Both schematics do actually differ slightly from the schematic above, but I remember both versions.
I repaired them in Austria in quite high numbers in the eighties, people like them so much that they tend to "overdrive" them... I still have many spares...

The classic CAS 4040 had a destinct sound, which was unique. I would not call it high end, but I always liked the sound.
(ClassA driver meeting a ClassB output stage, the tone controls in the feedback path, etc.)

lokh,
thanks for the help. In the meantime I have emailed the folks at Creek and they kindly sent me the schematics attached. I could not find the serial number of my amp, however there's an "S2" stamped on its front panel and these schematics fit exactly. Unlike the other schematics posted in this thread, my version has cinch connectors instead of the (older?) DIN.
Thanks, geni

I'm sorry to interrupt, but are the parts of these amp's still available?
I can't seem to find them on the internet.
I have a 4040,s1 with the transistors blown out.
The scheme i saw and printed out from you, lohk is not very clear, is it a scan? The numbers are bad to read. But thanks anyway for putting it on this forum.

Which version, "discrete" darlington or real darlington,

There are several devices that would be suitable for these.
If darlington then these should be suitable,
BDT64 and 65,
