Has anyone else built and tested these PSU's yet? I am curious what mV rms readings you are getting under load? With 22mF caps, 0.235R, and 35v rails and 250mA load I get 7mV ripple. Pretty good actually. No audible hum on FH9 amp and outputs are 0.1mV noise as measured with Fluke 101.

May be higher capacitance and larger resistor.

PS: may be resistor was around .22 but cap was definitely higher. I will try to find his post.
PS2: here is his build, I am guessing 33kuF caps.
OMG!, those premium quality non-inductive Arcol resistors with 10-90ppm , 700VDC 10W resistors.
Those would truly make it universal for almost any voltage and probably for any class A.

I almost forgot that I now have a 1Gs/s DSO and can look at the ringing in realtime - just add a pot and adjust for best attenuation of ringing.

Inductive resistors may actually provide added filtering for this application. What value is that 0.1R?

looked at datasheet, my bad, those are not the low inductive version. yes, value is 0.1ohm, 10W.

Is it possible to connect a centre tapped transformer to the CRC boards like a 25-0-25V 400VA? As the input connections are like the dual secondaries (ex. 0-xx and 0-xx) so I am presuming we cannot use a centre tapped one.

If its a local transformer, get it modified for dual secondaries.
I got one of my trafo modified for dual secondaries, and from then on I have always been ordering dual secondaries trafo, due to zero hum.
Its very easy to convert a dual secondary to CT whenever required, but not the other way around.

So, pl get dual secondary trafo for all future builds.

Yes it is possible to modify the ckt for CT operation (by loosing 4 diodes and associated components), but believe me it may not be worthwhile for any amp you plan to build..
