Beth's version of "Strange Fruit" with Joe Bonamassa is marvellousI don't know ... I've never heard her in concert, and can't comment on her other work, but her cover of 'Whole Lotta Love' made me wince and hit mute.

not better than original, but also stunning“I’d Rather Go Blind” …originally popularized by Etta James
Rod Stewart did a great version of 'I'd Rather Go Blind' on Never a Dull Moment, back when he could really sing and had a great band: Ron Wood on bass and guitar, Mick Waller on drums and Ian MacLagen on keyboards.

Judy Garland's version has been the standard for many year. But Linda Eder has a stronger and more controlled voice through greater lung power. Evidenced between 1:38 to 1:58 that's sung in one breath!
That's from a Motorhead covers album, which includes the Sex Pistols' "God Save the Queen" - well worth checking outAwesome!

"Mr. Blue Sky" by the ELO was a tune I barely paid any attention to way back when, and it disappeared quickly into obscurity for me. Allison Young & PMJ turned it into something else altogether, a wonderful 1940 style tune full of quirky angst that I didn't recognize at all initially. She has transformed over the past decade into a formidable singer, of older tunes, especially.
Allison & Joshua Lee Turner teamed up to cover Peggy Lee's iconic "Fever", and while it might not be better than the original, it's certainly just as good & more fun. She can't keep her hands still. 🙂

Slow tempo suits well this memorial concert of singer Kari Tapio

Rockwiz is an Aussie TV show, I believe, with a core house band and lots of guest stars. They've done lots of great covers. The high energy ensemble style where every band member takes turns singing lead makes this the most entertaining version of "like a rolling stone" I've ever seen/heard:
Their takes on "Radar Love" & "Walking on Sunshine" are also marvelous.
PS: such a travesty that Google has limited standard YouTube audio resolution to 128kbps

Rockwiz is a marvellous show; almost all its covers - usually performed as duets - are good, many are available on YouTube. There's also a 3 CD collection which may still be around.
I like that the covers are often done by people whose normal style is something different, like a country singer doing a rock song.

Sara Storer and Archie Roach with "From Little Things Big Things Grow" on Rockwiz gives me goosebumps. Read some history relating to the story first.
Not 'better', but a great cover:
There's a version by Eric Clapton, albeit in poor quality, also great which sticks to Bob's arrangement.
The starkness of this version seems to bring home the lyrics. Recorded at Electric Lady (Jimi Hendrix' studio). I can imagine Jimi covering many Dylan songs but I don't think his voice would suit this one, although he had the life experience (no pun) to do it justice.
