"I'll Be Seeing You"
Moses Sumney does a fabulous performance of this classic.
Liberace played and sang "I'll Be Seeing You", at the end of his TV series which he made his theme song.
Francoise Hardy & Iggy Pop also do a wonderful recording with a vintage geranium diode fuzz box guitar part.

"Heartaches" Olavi Virta was the most popular singer of 1940-60s. The incredible whisltling solo by another singer Erkki Junkkarinen
Btw, it's "deuce" not "douche"blinded by the light - Manfred manns earth band ( original by the boss) ( i think~!!!!!!!)
Well documented.Btw, it's "deuce" not "douche"
The Boss was not happy with any cover the Manfred Mann did of his and personally I don't blame him. Were there three from the Boss' Greetings album that Manfred basically ruined?
I don't always appreciate covers but this one caught me off guard. I learned about it recently so forgive my tardiness.
Burning Down the House. Originally by the Walking Legs.
This is: The Cardigans with Tom Jones.
It reminds me of the first time I heard the Van Halen version of You Really Got Me.

Talking Heads, iirc... But maybe you were joking with Walking Legs. 😅Burning Down the House. Originally by the Walking Legs
Then don't even consider challenging the original with a half assed broadway style, or whatever you call what you brought to the table. Shame on you. View the original.Never heard the original, but...
The guys at the back playing the instruments very much remind me of the lasses in Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love, just reversing the genders. Wonder if that was by design?View the original
Though Leonard Cohens song "Tower of Song" was entered earlier in this thread. I think the Tom Jones version is really good. And this is coming from a person that didn't appreciate Tom Jones, at least until I heard this version...
Ben Harper's Excuse me mister. Great song, but Martyn's cover always raises the hair on the back of my neck...

Hey Jude by Wilson Pickett. I prefer his soulful rendition to that of the Beatles.
As a bonus, there's brilliant lead guitar by Duane Allman at the end. I heard a story that Clapton listened to the record and exclaimed "who is that playing?" "I want to meet him". Thus was born Derek and the Dominos...

Not sure it's better, but Pickett makes it his, great phrasing and pacing. Thanks for the suggestion.Hey Jude by Wilson Pickett
