I believe still only the preliminary datasheet is available. I'll be testing my implementation of the STA310 (based on the preliminary data) in the upcoming weeks (currently testing the analog part of my preamp). So i'll post my results then.sz_ahong said:

Nothing has to be done to the PLL fraction registers. These will be set by the MCU when a stream is detected. I have never had to modify them.
What about the STA310 sound quality?

That will be just fine. No normal AV receiver will sound like that, only the $1500+ brands will be in that game.
The setup on my pictures were with a PCM1798 and OPA134. Pretty similar. It sounded fine on the 2 channels that I made.
Just make sure you make the traces as short as possible on the analogue side with proper short grounds. Opamps work at their best with it.

I've been trying to get it to work too. I'v been able to get the beep and noise generators to work with my dacs (PCM1792). However havent been able to decode any music via the S/P-dif input.
