HI, I tried Burson V6 vivid, the sound is very good, although not on your board.Hi,
yersterday i changed the OPA from AD797 to OPA1655. The AD797 sounds better, more details in the mids, sounds more honest. For me the AD797 is the best solution on my boards...
The OPA 1655 is not bad anyway and its cheaper than AD797, but cannot reach the sound of the AD797 in my clone. I will test the OPA1655 in one of my phono preamps . Perhaps it is a replacement for the OPA1611.
Have fun
Peter
How do you find the sound of the Rubycon RX30 capacitors?
Hi,
i have orderd panasonic hybrid polymer caps for an other project, a phono preamp. But not tested until yet. I have to wait for different deliverys. The phono pre, i want to built, is very good, i could hear it for several times at our regular table and the polymer caps are in. The panasonic caps only have 7 mOhm, thats not much.
OPA..mhmm..perhaps i can get this https://www.exploding-shed.com/alfa-rpar-as401a-hi-end-audio-operational-amplifier/103136DC8
I have to talk about the price 😉

You have to be careful with polymer capacitors. Most of them thin out the sound. The only ones I use are SEPC, but for digital power supplies.
And still an opinion on the RX30?
