latest ta 2020 amp.
I went to a car boot sale today and came home with a 8mm film camera made in 1973 for £3.
I pulled its mech out and the ta2020 fits nicely inside.
I have a high power led that fits behind the lens and projects light out ,as a power indicator.
It looks great at night with light coming out!
Isn't that amp the ta2024!?...
2 channel MFB amplifier
Mobile (12~24V) Motional feedback amplifier using tpa3116, 5532 based xover, dynamic subsonic filter, DC protection. Module measures 5 x 10 cm and drives a modified faital pro 5fe100 woofer equipped with a piratelogic accelerometer.

Do you have a build/concept thread on this yet? Sounds very interesting! 😎
Not yet. Am still busy building the first prototypes & optimizing the design. It features a standard Sallen-Key 4th order lpf/hpf setup, a vcf subsonic filter, a BTL dc protection, anti plop circuit and a standard motional feedback mixer. The 3116 is moved to the pcb bottom where it is thermically coupled to the aluminium mounting plate. Like the ti eval module mlcc is used for the output filters & bootstraps. For scale ref a yuanjing is visible in the background.Do you have a build/concept thread on this yet?

Thanks 🙂Kudos.
fell in love with mfb 40 years ago and it has never left me since 🙄
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Just build two mono sure tpa3116's. It was my first proper build after messing around with ta2021's and stereo tpa3116 for a while.
Yes, I switched output l/r after taking the pictures 🙂. I tried to pay attention to the layout and keep cables as short as possible. Amps are dead silent and don't really need the ventilation. I plan on getting the power cables fixed inside the case soon. Any other hints and / or tips to improve?

How does it sound compare with the stereo version?
Can't really comment. Went from toroid to smps, used oscon's for this build and a totally different layout. Leaving the source of the improvement in the middle I can say these amps are more in control of the lows and much clearer on details (few rows to the front of the stage).
