LU matching
I figure this is a good a place to ask as any, I've looked for a good post but have yet to find it.
I was playing with some matching the vgs of the LU's.
There is mention of not leaving these in too long, connected.
Of course it heats up quickly. It also climbs in voltage as well.
So do I take the first reading? My start @ .865-.950v.
Warmed up to 30 seconds, they are 1.05v to 1.10v. Which is the best number? My room temperature is a bit low when testing, about 60 degrees 15.5C?

I make sure that the devices are at room temperature and I count
1,2,3 just enough time for voltmeter to settle.
The important thing is that all the devices are tested the same way.
Also, I do not regard devices tested on different occasions as matched.
Unless I have to.

Re: big boyz ready for .....
It's got a handle for lifting. If that handle is actually required, then I guess you're on the right track 😀

1KW EI core , good for 2KW 1:2 ( or 2:1) autoformer duty ;
exactly as you said ....... 😉

Try this . . .
Don't ask me why . . .
>>🙂<<
you made me

but - no .......
look at source resistors as integral parts of LUs , needed to make them behave as Holly Triode

Re: Re: Re: big boyz ready for .....
That's not too far off. They should bring your roll-off down in the mid twenties.

be warned : 350++ posts of insane off topic , all relating to making pair of most insane monoblock amps I ever saw .
I'm sorta proud to be a part of this act of passion .
