This is my LM1875 AMP getting readey.
It has a +-22V LM338 regulated supply with 100VA trafo and 3x3300uF/side cap. Circuit is mostly the default for amp and regulator also.

LM3886 stereo-kit
Have built my LM3886-kit bought from BrianGT (Chipamp.com) but haven't finished as visible... Top lid and front is still to be made.
I like the sound alot together with my diy Nomex164 designed by Troels Gravesen.

I was inspired to build my own amp when I read about the Synergy LM3875 chip amp. This is my first major build.
It uses point-to-point construction with 2 LM3886TF chips.
I initially got the heatsinks that you see on the inside of the case, but those proved to be insufficient, so I bought a bigger one, but decided to use both, and cut the side of the case cover so I can put the big one on the outside. Essentially the entire aluminium case works to transfer heat, so even after hours the amp only becomes warm.
I wanted to get it very compact, it's about 25cm wide (with heat sink) and 5cm high, but the toroid transformer makes it quite heavy.
It has no noise, only a very faint white noise at full volume that you can only hear if you put your ear to the speaker and nothing is playing. The star-ground eliminated the majority of noises, and the rectifier snubbing capacitors took out the rest. I also put snubbing on the puffer capacitors but those didn't make an audible difference.
I'm very happy with it, the sound quality is excellent, everyone who heard it wants to replace their own amps now.

huge heatsink with fan regulated via 1k thermistor (thermistor ordered, 1k resistor now in place),+-38v 20 000uf rail , huge old school trafo ,measured output voltage of 19.2v on 4 ohm speaker for few seconds on one chip ...desinged for paralell application for 4 ohm subwoofer but i think i will use it for my normal stereo speakers

I'm new to this forum and here's my first try ...
Got from ebay and put whole things together under the same hood. Electronics exactly as is, no mods nothing changed to the circuits at all. No noises even at 3/4 max volume, Sounds good to me !

The DAC/Pre amp with IR reciver, motorized pot controlling a Lightspeed Attenuator and channel selector/mute on the left knob using a rotary encoder. All controlled by a PIC16F690 microprocessor.

If you are refering to the area around the lettering on the ic, I think it is a shadow and some stray thermal compound.....hopefully.

They are great sounding speakers, and the bass that can be produced is incredible from such a small driver. Although they are full range, I did think the very top end was lacking a little, so I built some super tweeters using Dayton drivers:
