There is no power switch. This unit can be classified as a preamp (from power consumption point)
Peter, shouldn't you be a bit careful about statements like this. There is nothing as "preamps" in this subject. It's all about power consumption.

You say it's DIY but I think it's also good to advice people how they should do when it comes to mains wiring.

My point of view is that every apparatus SHOULD have mains switch unless it consumes very little power.

I was talking about power consumption when the amp is idle. You will not be using power switch when amp is playing at full power, will you?

For that matter, can somebody explain to me the preoccupation with power switch. What are you using it for?

Now, you not gonna tell me that I HAVE to switch off my amps, each time I go to sleep?

I leave this to you, as I'm in a chassis business. Otherwise people wouldn't be allowed to build anything, without explaining them beforehand how to connect wires.

And decide how much more you want to add to your post, as I can't form my proper reply to you otherwise.

No, but I think you should think in this direction.

Let me decide what to think. This amp is made like this for a purpose. It is not commercial design, but diy project. There is enough room for modifications, if somebody wants them. Personally, I think the switch is not needed here (but can be easily added). You should be glad that I included a space for a fuse😉

The amp will sound better without power switch.

If you require a switch...

Hi All-

If a switch is desired, then this one "should" fit in the same cut out. But you will need the add the fuse in the X-former location.

Steve @ Apex has them.
