At the moment we don't have anything like that. I know some customers have used a side panel and mounted it inside by fixing it on the bottom cover but that would be very DIY
Hi Gianluca, I want to build a balanced ACP+ amp and designed a fronpanel PCB and a matching Frontpanel CNC design in Frontpanel Designer.
Do you think you will be able to produce this? Can I deliver the file as a .fpd file or export it to .DXF?
It is for a Slim Line 02/280 or 350 2U 10mm SILVER.
Can the 2 horizontal grooves on the frontpanel be like this two photos, you did earlier for me?
(because I don't know how to draw that in the Frontpaneldesigner program)
The grooves are 14mm height and 3mm deep.

Wow -- simply wow. Amazing design, Walter, as usual. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product! Kudos to you and Gianluca (and his team)!
I ordered a few of the diyAudio chassis through modushop and FedEx is holding it until I can fill out an aluminum extrusion worksheet. Since modushop is closed until 8/25, I'm hoping someone here might know the details about the aluminum composition? i.e. the percent manganese, magnesium, silicone, copper and/or zinc? Are the heatsinks and quasi-heatsinks extruded in Italy?
Can you tell us about this FedEx form? I have not read of other DIY Audio members having to fill out this form. If this is now going to be standard operating practice at FedEx, the underlying data should be made available to all customers.I ordered a few of the diyAudio chassis through modushop and FedEx is holding it until I can fill out an aluminum extrusion worksheet. No worries, that is not going to be the norm for every shipment.
It usually happens only when the value of the goods is over 1K USD and after sending them the required filled form the shipment Is released

You may have checked the wrong box on the form.
There was no initial form, it was flagged as Gianluca stated.
FedEx initially contacted both of us for a short description which took a few exchanges of Gianluca and I mostly repeating the same thing. Finally they were satisfied and said they would contact us if more information was needed.
The shipment was still being held up, so I contacted them this round which resulted in a form which I assume is for billing the tariff.
The shipment was still being held up since it was missing this aluminum extrusion worksheet. Mostly this was the same details as the first email response other than I didn’t know the composition of the alloy.
FedEx really dropped the ball multiple times here too telling me they would contact us if more information was needed and each time I called there was another form needed.
At some point FedEx changed my first name from a common nickname of my legal name. So that has been fun annoyance with the whole name verification step they do. Curious why they did that and how they got my legal name. Lol

My order will most likely be flagged then. I constantly have issues with my shipments and I'm sure they'll screw something up with it.It usually happens only when the value of the goods is over 1K USD and after sending them the required filled form the shipment Is released
What is up with the Store site? When I look for all the different chassis that I have seen in the past there not there anymore? Right now I'm looking for some of the accessories like riser boards for my 4U Pessante?

Check with the store.

They made a change in 2023 to narrow the DIYAudio store to 4U and 5U Dissipante chassis.
July 2023 Store Update
July 2023 Store Update
We stopped dropshipping for many reasons, here is the post (thanks Brian!) detailing all the reasons and rationale. European Union VAT triangulation issues, system incompatibilities, legacy systems meaning we were unable to progress.
Since then we have been focusing on US stock, and an update to the Deluxe chassis line. This is now in production. Should be in stock before Xmas. The wheels of change have turned slower than expected. 🐌🐌🐌
We tried stocking the most popular lines in the US, but to be honest sales have been slow on them. As a result we just removed Pesante as it was selling slowly, at least in the configuration we were offering. Galaxy is still popular. We stock what sells, and have limited capital to hold slow moving inventory.
The riser panels were reasonably popular and have been discussed and may very well come back. Right now you could try HF2K to see if they have any left.
Thank you for your support. The more sales the store has the more we can grow. Will we do dropshipping from the EU again? “It’s complicated”. When we started on dropshipping in 2015 we literally had to write all our own software to handle it. Things have come a long way since. We have great new systems now. Shopify now has multi-currency, country-based marketplace segmentation, and the Shopify app store is now 1000x larger than it was in 2015. An exploration into what is possible in 2025 will absolutely be performed. Easy, affordable access to stuff DIYers needs helps the whole diyAudio ecosystem!
