Hate to be one of those folks, but seeing as the key posts in this thread are not linked in the original post, can anyone summarize the status of this work? Has the amp reached final design stage? Any word on a future group buy?

The first GB for CFH7 and CFH9 boards have completed - I may have a set of boards left. There was an error on the grounding scheme of the CFH9, correctable with a trace cut and a jumper wire as discovered by Thimios. An updated PCB with the correct layout has not been designed yet as interest seems to have died off. If folks are interested in an updated v2 CFH9, I can work with Marc to get a new design out.
Edit: I forgot that Thiagomongi designed the updated board CFH9CX (now with a cap multiplier for the input stage) - a beautiful layout. I have not seen comments from folks as to whether or not this has solved all the problems of the original one yet. Perhaps Thimios can chime in as he has the most knowledge of the fixes required from testing the v1 board.
So this looks fun. I can organize another GB if Thiagomongi approves as this is his layout.

Any possibility of using SMD for the smaller caps? Especially if the ones for power supply decoupling.
All that i know are published and at post#881 you can see the final test.
All issues has been gone, as i remember.
The only remaining issue is a little unstable VAS current.May be due to my small heatsink.

No, of one cap mx already then on board will not be needed. Although you can never have too much hum reduction. Voltage drop is main problem. With too many though.
I was hoping to get more interest but 10 is absolute minimum. Cost will be $15/pair plus $8 shipping and PayPal fees in US and $16 shipping and PayPal fees outside US.
