We now can scan and 3D-print our heads - that would make for really realistic 3D listening enhancement, with or without the freezer!
Oh, so that's how you can get the freezer door closed.
After further review, it looks like this is to prevent unauthorized account activities.
Specifically:
"... controls in place to detect fraudulent activity and help protect your accounts from misuse".
"If we detect a questionable transaction on your account, we will take measures to monitor your account and/or we may contact you to verify its legitimacy".
Seems to be for unauthorized charges. My amx card info was once stolen and used for online purchases that amx caught immediately and did not approve of the purchases. AOL also started billing me about 5 years after I canceled their service (I caught that one).
Can someone verify this by ordering a QSP from PCX? Their still on sale!
Sorry, everybody can slither back under their rocks. 😛
Also, still can't get it to work.

Why in the world would anyone do that?
I found this beneath the bottom pad. I do not know what it is.
Is this the active device?
What's it made of? It looks like aluminum foil?
Yeah, now carefully fold it into the shape of a hat and wear it proudly!

The first simple test is to see if a magnet has any effect. Also try comparing it to a piece of aluminum foil, for color and other characteristics.
You might want to try an ohmmeter on the foam.
Yes it looks like aluminum foil.
I would suggest sending it to the Unseen University, Ankh-Morpork, care of Ponder Stibbons...
Does it matter whether it is magnetic or whether the foam is conductive....

It seems you presume the product is a fraud. If one presumes at least that there is actual design intent then looking at the construction may be of interest.
Now if the entire intent is to swindle folks, why even bother with the foil?
I also presume you do not have any near term plans to purchase any of these or similar products.
It doesn't cover the entire area, therefore it's likely that it is something unobtainium.
Actually its thin sheets of gold pressed latanum hand pounded by young children in Mayamar.

Generally, yes. Methylene chloride is the solvent of choice, but it's not trivial to handle without personal hazard.

There is no presumption... Do these products do Audio any good? No they bring scorn and ridicule...
that must of been my mistake, once at work I decided to clean my old Harrison Labs PS meter faces. instant melt. In the lab we had bench dispensers of strong and 'extra strong' solvents Eg Alcohol and Methyl. Can you still pick this up at electronic dealers?Methylene chloride is the solvent of choice,
