As the day(s) approach, I am hoping to get a sense of the space for exhibitors. I am planning to bring a complete system, and need to scale things so we don't crowd anyone out (sharing, etc.).
Skip, on Sunday we will have 3 large listening rooms, maybe 20x40ft. One will be the Pass Room, and the other two will be for us common folk.
In addition we will have a large registration/snack lounge/vendor room. And a huge auditorium for the Sunday presentations. So lots of room for displays and listening.

.....I will let my chauffeur, who is sitting in the back, answer it for me."
Exactly, I'm sending my Chaffeur to give ya Greedy Boyz Joy and Hapyness
Because I know all your questions are going to be so simple

(Pa really drove me once from BAF to SF; but first time, Ma Jill drove us all 3 - Pa, Jack and ZM; she is definitely smartest)
Hey all, just chiming in to say hello. I happen to live in Petaluma. I've been a forum lurker, have attended previous Burning Amps in SF, and am a member of the SFAF. Very cool to have Burning Amp in Petaluma this year! I am a corporate AV director based in Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park so could be helpful in securing North Bay hotels in the future. I am hoping to attend the morning of the 30th and all day on the 1st. I'd be happy to volunteer to help in any way. Just let me know!
Hi WBS, there is an unfortunate shortage of good taco trucks in Petaluma proper, in my humble opinion. El Roy's is certainly the most visible and has its fans but is middling. The one that I recommend is Galvan's Eatery, based in Santa Rosa, that occasionally comes down to Petaluma on Sundays at Hen House Brewery. They specialize in tacos dorados (and birria), where the tortillas are grilled with the fillings inside, which is not the traditional style but very yummy.
Your best bet for tacos tradicional in Petaluma proper will be brick and mortars such as Tortilla Real, Taqueria Los Portrillos, and the lauded newcomer, Quiote.

The real mecca for trocas and tacos DF in the North Bay is in Santa Rosa. There is a sprawling food park (Mitote Food Park) dedicated to it. A fave that focuses on mushrooms is Lucha Sabina. The park resides on an entire strip of Sebastopol Road that is filled with other trucks and restaurants. Some of my favorites include Delicias Elenita, Tacos al Carbón, and Tacos el Paisa. My main office is in Santa Rosa so I try to rotate and try them all! https://www.google.com/maps/search/...+CA/@38.4296327,-122.7362888,17.06z?entry=ttu

This will be my first time at Burning Amp, I'm very excited. I'll be driving down from Southern Oregon.
So glad to have you! Thanks for making the trip, you'll love meeting everybody and vice-versa.

I plan to bring a pair of prototype monoblocks I built based on the classic "Musician's Amplifier" from 1950, the first American version of a Williamson. The amps employ a compact PCB I had designed, along with Heyboer's excellent copies of the Peerless S-265-Q. I have some extra PCBs and transformers, and I'll have some schematics and a parts list on hand. Is this okay?
Ok? Of course!! That's the entire point of the event!
Also, if I want to show them in the project room, do I need to bring my own table? I suppose there might be a way to hear them, but I'm sure there will be a lot of folks wanting to show off their stuff. ;-)
You don't need to bring a table.
I assume this is in keeping with the spirit of the event, but if not, please let me know.
It's 110% in the spirt of the event and I'm sure you'll find somebody interested in what you've got to show, I know I already want to see it.
Also, it would be really helpful if you had a suggestion for a good taco truck. My inquiries have all been unsuccessful.
Tacos in NorCal?
Come on... how about vats of good vino on Saturday evening and buckets of aspirin and gallons of coffee on Sunday morning?

Thank you for responding! I'm really looking forward to it.
Ha! Now that I live in Costa Rica I can’t justify a trip up for BAF, but I just did! I have various things that I need to sort out in the US so I can be there!
I’m so excited, as it looks like Tom has done a fantastic job organizing it all!
And it will be a pleasure to not have to run around solving all sorts of problems and instead just enjoy seeing all the old and new participants and their projects! Over ten years of running the thing was enough, I’m glad not to have to worry about it. But I’m still happy to help out too.
Will be bringing parts from my stash for the raffle….

This is part of an email I received from Tom concerning set up times:
Chocolate chip cookies! One of the BAF traditions!
We get the rooms at 9am, so meet in the Parking lot at 8:30-8;45 so we can get organized.
-Tom-
I will talk to the folks at the Community Center to see if one of the listening rooms is available for Saturday afternoon. If so we may be able to do setup in one of the rooms for the bigger systems and leave overnight. Are you both days, or just Sunday?
