Ahh. sorry. Post one the pictures dont work. I was thinking of the other pictures showing the design.
I am NOT able to see the pictures in post #1 in both IE and Mozilla Firefox.
I am not able to see any of them. Hopefully, the OP can re-link them.
Guys, has anyone built / measured / or modeled a Kraken 210? Very interested in potentially building this as I think I can make this narrower version work in my setup.
Thanks,
Jim

As far as I have seen, the only measurements are in posts 172 &196, and EQ'd response in 199.
I don't recall anyone using smaller drivers than 12".

Thanks Art. That's what I thought.
Do you think its difficult to model? I have zero experience with developing a Hornresp model.

Simulations are not hard. I have simulated quite a few different drivers in TH's. I cant always get as smooth as others on this forum but thats where the forum helps.
Hi,
I don't recall there being a cut list for the Krakens.
As to single-112-, and dual 10"-210-see Posts #94 and 95.

Can the Kraken 212 TH use the JBL GT4-12? I can get these locally for a very good price. Here are the specs:
Re = 3.56
Le (at 1kHz) = 2.54
Sd (inches^2) = 82.31
BL = 14.78
Vas (cu ft^3) = 3.22
Cms = 227.58
Mms (g) = 181.74
Mmd (g) = 174.40
Fs = 24.75
Qms = 6.46
Qes = 0.46
Qts = 0.43
Hag (inches) = 1.30
Hvc = 0.31
Xmax (inches) = 0.49
Thanks,
Deon

Hi DeonC,
Using your T/S parameters in Hornresp: the response w/ the JBL GT4-12 looks very similar to the original 212 Kraken using the JBL GTO1214.

Awesome! Thanks. 🙂
Would the Kraken 212 TH not possibly benefit from a keystone exit mouth? I want to use mine up to 50Hz - 60Hz, and it seems that the keystone exit mouth does provide a smoother response. The the following post: Keystone Mouth compared to full width Exit from the thread: Keystone Sub Using 18,15,&12 Inch Speakers. From what I read I would do a keystone shape where the bottom of the mouth is at least twice as wide as the top. What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Deon

Can the opening be placed as illustrated here..?
Can the Infinity 1260 be used in this build? The question have been asked before, but I did not find any reply. It has been suggested other places on the internet that the 1260 and 1214 are "twins"...
