Build This MoFo!

Should the 20 volt/5W Zener diode with IRFP 250 be 9.1 or 8.2 volt/5 W for IXFN 140N20P?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
I used lower voltage zener with IRFP240, for example. 6V2 suited well for my case and luck (not for MoFo, but for one close cousin, the "power follower"), but a bit higher is better for accounting with productions variations.
Why connect the zener cathode directly to the irfp 250 grid instead of connecting the zener cathode to the gate resistor?
For maximum MOSFET protection, the zener is located this manner (directly to the MOSFET pins), for not developing extra voltage if inductor kicks back.

I have two board sets (2 each for stereo) that I'm happy to give away no cost. I ordered extras when I had them produced. I'd like them to go to two different people, ideally anyone who is on a tight budget (but then, how would I check?). I'll even cover shipping provided it isn't too expensive. Please PM me, don't post here. I'm saving two more sets for my kids in case they want to try it out. Those may become available eventually if they aren't interested.

On another note, I only have 0.15 ohm resistors on hand for the test resistor. Of course, I'd have to look for 0.255v across them, instead of 0.17v (which means they eat 0.085v more than the 0.1R test resistor), but other than that, is there any problem using these? Note that I can't quite measure these accurately with any of my meters but I bought them as 0.15R maybe 8-10 years ago, so assume they are at least close to that. Thx.
