Independently from that, maybe some Hypex regs as they are small and easy to add to the shipment as we'll benefit from a discount.

I would hope we can reach 100 PCBs as that's what I have quoted for.
@Jan and Bill, are we happy with the updated BOM using Susumu 0.1% thin film caps for all SMD caps apart from the four Melfs? If so, I will ask Quick Circuits to provide an updated price. As a safety margin, I'll also ask for a price for less boards, maybe 50 and 75 as well as 100 so we can see the price increase in case we don't reach the initial 100.
There are lots of people who expressed an interest in the PCB only (or fullly assembled, I'll have to check the Excel again) when Bertel had originally launched the GB and these people haven't indicated their preference for the new SMD-assembled PCB. So we need to determine whether they've dropped out or forgotten to update.

I wanted bare PCBs to keep the initial cost low. I will consider the partially populated boards once the final price is posted. It will be very disappointing if bare PCBs are not made available.
Some will be very disappointed if they have to learn hoe to solder SMD's.
You can't keep everyone happy.
As the boards are being printed I'm sure blank ones could be made available.

Why? If you only want the boards, order them yourself. The Gerbers are available.
This will go on forever. Tfboy, I would in your place make a 'a package' of one board assembled with SMD and offer that for the group. People just order # of board packages. Second package, pair of Hypex regs. People order # of Reg packages. Don't try to be a car dealer ;-)

Is there any interest in producing Hans Polak volume control for this preamp. The linear pot option is not good at the two extremes. OK, having done some calculations based on buying the components from myself, I estimate the total cost of the board with the SMDs assembled to be around £30-35.

PTD902-2015K-B103 (Farnel No. 2519627) has a linear track taper but is panel mounting.
Farnel No.8791350 Vishay 10k linear pot (courtesy Paul Hendiks,Netherlands) is awaiting delivery & is four times the price of the previous two(£8-73).

I want the boards for that, but have not complicated what is already being DIYaudio'd to death.
I will how or 4 preamp boards too. And just 2 hypes regs.

Just to make sure I've understood:
4 SMD-assembled boards
2 pairs of Hypex regulators to fit two of the four SMD boards. so two boards can have them fitted, the other two will not?
