Hey @maxolini ?
I dont trust that skar driver to not sound like a bucket of š©(it over stimulates the higher resonance funk in the paraflex stuff IMhO) , but it donāt look too shabby in Brians TH? (I dropped a bit of stuffing in the initial path length to relax the lossless sim and used measured TS parameters)

FWIW, one of the things I've noticed is that rather than designing based on the driver's fhm = 2*Fs/Qts' they just seem to fiddle with the sim till they get something that looks good and often don't allow plenty of 'wiggle room' WRT thermal power distortion hence the 'higher resonance funk' due to too short and/or large enough pipe, though of course those folks that make/test a prototype and mods the design based on destruction measurements will wind up with an excellent performing system.
My first āparaflexā builds sucked, but I ignorantly used ~ 300 cm path connected to ~75cm with totally different end corrections, etc.
Nothing sounded good in that area up top that looks Haggered in horn response, but was at i least as bad to listen to , but this driver(skarddx12) didnāt help either it seemsā¦
later, and with more appropriate drivers, 240cm connected to 80cm in parallel and with a series exit of 40cmā¦. The paths matched up and the tuning/phase /resonace modes seemed to align and Mother Nature was happy I guess ? š

If designing for the drivers upper mass corner should we just sim the 5/4 resonace in an OD TL to that?
In this case , 38hz x 2/ 0.35 as 216 hz (40 cm)
then plug 216 hz into the hyper physics . Com calculator and I find a pipe that length

Can you elaborate, what is "fhm"?driver's fhm
When attempting to search for this and learn more, I find you're the only user using this term and cannot find a clear explanation of what you're referring to - would appreciate some guidance!

So what is this all about?
That the skar can do a ok job in a pa sub?
Or that is just only for inside a coffin ( car audio ) listening use ....
Cuse car audio suckkkkkk big time for me
PA rulezzzzzzz
To each it's own
I don't DJ or band play inside a coffin
I couldn't even if I can š¤£

Or santa ... Or the Grinch .. or the chupakabraPeople put lots of power to them (1500 or so) but the claims and accuracy of the car audio communities sometimes resembles the tooth fairy or Easter bunnyš
Well, I heard from people that the skars smell like roasted brisket when they are pushed hardSurprised it's that strong, but did they confirm its useful power rating as 1 kW continuous or at least peak?
They certainly stink when driven hard when new, but after that the adhesive smell seems to go away as if it cured or hardened? They donāt sound very good regardless, I think the tight suspensions and high order qw designs cone control is an akward combo? Thereās no denying the SPL though?
