I started this thread awhile back and am surprised it keep going - I'm not the only one looking for High Fidelity in PA. I'm glad you guys started talking about column speakers. They seem to be the "in" thing right now. The EV Evolve package sounds nice but I still feel the drivers are too small for PA.
Just last night I thought about putting some prototypes together. I am not a pro builder but this is what the forum is for, right? I have 3 concepts I'd like to build to see which sounds best. Because the drivers are small and inexpensive this really shouldn't be too hard to do. One design that's of particular interest is Danley's SBH series. The SBH20 uses (4) 5-inch coaxials in a paraline lens. Now that's a column, or is it a horn? It's both!
