I might be able to fit you in for 2 boards. I will get back to you.
Any idea yet? Are you planning on combining shipment of the boards and the kit?
Sorry i did not get back to you, i can supply you with two boards, and a kit if necessary. Yes they will be shipped together.
Im waiting for responses over kits for people that said they are intrested. I would like to get this out the way, i want to place the orders for the kits this week.
Thanks
Thanks
How much extra for insured shipping? I'm assuming you still want this in 2 currencies, dollars for the boards and pounds for the kit...let me know if this is incorrect.

This is correct, i dont want to mess around with the unstable exchange rates im afraid.
Insured shipping will be quite a bit more expensive, i think it will be around £15 - £20 via courier but i will look around with fedex/ups. I was going to get the kits ready then see how people want them posting later.
Shipping has started, people marked as kit i will just hold on to your boards if you have not contacted me.

Hi there,
Just replied to you.
Hey Rhys,
just catching up on this thread and noticed that you have extra stock. Can I just confirm something.
The kits include all components to populate the board?
The components not included are the power supply components?
Were you going to solder any of the components?
Regarding shipping, I found this site the other day who offer really competitive shipping via DHL. http://www.interparcel.com/
Thanks.

Yes the kits include all the components to populate the boards.
Power supply is not included, too heavy to ship.
I can solder SMD components upon request.
I too found interparcel whilst searching for somthing un related a couple of weeks ago, it looks promising!
I've been thinking about building a pair of Sympatico boards from TwistedPear. Those boards have the LM4562 and THS4131 for the front end.
What does the lack of these in the BPA300 mean for me? Do I just have to make sure that my preamp has the required drive to match?
Thanks.

The bpa300 does not need any more gain or anything like that, to be honest from what I have heard about the sympatico the bpa300 actually sounds better. In reality you should be fine with the current preamp. Sorry for the short reply I'm mobile.
So will it be alright with the passive pre I was planning on building?
Secondly, how complex does the power supply need to be? Does it need to be regulated or just rectified and filtered?
Ta from a noob.

Yes, it should be fine with a passive pre but i would reccomend to use a buffer.
The power supply is a simple traffo-rectifier-cap supply, thats all you need.

OK, put me down for two channels (full kits) and you can quote me for SMD soldering and delivery too.
If you need me to edit the wiki then I can do that.
Cheers.
