Fired up one chanel of Legend amp.

1)Absolutely quite at full volume even at this kind of wiring.
2)Direct input from cd player(50K pot)
3)No turn on and off "thumb"
4)Bass incredible and extended.

Equivalent transistors help

Hi guys,

I am ordering a whole bunch of parts for pre and power amp (FlatBT and Studio SE) as well as their PSU, and almost all of them are available (in Canada/USA). However, there are some transistors that I cannot find replacement (not even alternatives) so can you help me with equivalents? Here is a list (and alternatives):
2SC3423 (2SC3117, 2SD669A) - FlatBT
2SA1360 (2SA1249, 2SB649A) - FlatBT
BD249C - PSU
BD250C - PSU

Heatsink for Studio SE

Is this heatsink good enough for Studio SE or would I need a larger/better one?

No it is not! That is very small heatsink from what I can see. For one Studio SE channel you need heatsink with base measuring about 200x100mm or 150x150mm and with fins not less than 40-50mm.

Here it is the actual build.
Been testing for 24 hours and no problem at all even with the plastic packed output transistors. The heatsink(165 x 70mm with fins 60mm x 4mm thick) is just warm.

True diy, using whatever is available in hand. Now waiting to have the casing done up.

This one is more than OK! Lenght is 12" so cut it on half (6") and you will have two excelent heatsinks for both channels.
Those from RSK picture are also excelent!

That sink looks good for a 68W into 8ohm chipamp. Or possibly a stereo 40W+40W into 8+8ohm chipamp pair.

I will use the PSU that came with FlatBT leafsheet and the one from Bora's web site for Studio. Do you by any chance have a PSU PCB layout that I can use?
