Odd that, Micross came back to me with min order equating to 43 components - SOIC B grade. I will ask if its because they have no stock on hand...
I’ve written to both them and LIS (very nice email, no swearing/cussing) asking why the difficulty in buying parts.
When I received the quote from LIS, they asked in what way I planned on using parts, so I gave them the details re. article.
Nice one. I contacted them earlier and they advised me that they have a £250 min order across the board. Thought it may have been because they didn't have stock of the B variant.
Tim McCune of LIS kindly emailed me and has suggested that if builders cannot get the LSK 389B from their local distributors, they buy them direct from the LIS website here
Linear Systems
He pointed out the devices are not cheap as they are 100% noise tested - so this parameter is not sample tested as is the case with many other low noise discretes.

For Bob Cordell’s DH-220C design, I am offering the selected pairs of lsk489 & lsj689 as part of the blank pcb purchase to make it alot easier to obtain these parts. Shipping duties etc add a fair bit to an order, esp a low volume qty.

If you are in the USA, I had no issues ordering the LSK389B SOIC from NAC Semi: LSK389B-SOIC | LINEAR SYSTEMS | NAC Semi. No minimum and was $6 FedEx shipping for me.

And they're a listed distributor on the LS site. Noice! BTW, somebody sucked up the supply of LM4562 at Mouser - now down to 0 stock.

Thanks Greg! For UK, Australia and EU builders, you can also order direct from The Linear Integrated Systems web page.
I went full circle and ordered the LSK389B direct from Linear. I discussed carriage with them and they agreed to ship by USPS first class package to the UK, reduced the cost to $15. Which is much more reasonable given the size/weight of the parts. Thanks Andy for your help with this.
Parts are mostly here. I could not find the box caps anywhere so I just decided to order some Wima box caps, PET types with the same dimensions and lead spacing. So the board will be popped with the little red guys.
I gotta get some of that 80's Wima sound somehow! LOL j/k! Ok, good to know that will work happily in your design.
lack of wiring diagram for rumble switch
In the supplementary material it says to wire the rumble switch as per yhe the diagram. My problem is that my download does not show a diagram.
Can you provide this?
Regards, Ashley
