The overall gain is determined by differential input TR500-TR501, voltage divider R510-513/R507=45x.
IC501 is only buffer follower.
Interesting is input to IC502. To pin 3 (non inverting input), there are 3 sources, from R545(20k), from C526+R545, and from C528+R550. The gain is R547/R551, but the output is only AC connected to the main CCT, because there are C528 and C529 (0.1).
Is IC502 forming somekind of EC for high frequencies (because after IC501 everything is only follower)?

You can. Look at the bottom of the page.
Looks to me like an exotic lag frequency compensation, rather than error correction and surely isn't short protection.

The discussion on negative feedback has been split off here:

Hi Mike. What are you talking about here?
Bob
Hi Nixie,

Is that an admission of guilt?I have to give it to him, he's certainly more refined at trolling than I am.
-Chris
Yes, but not on this forum. I keep my trolling elsewhere.
So, how's the nice Ontario winter weather treatin' ya?

Hi Nixie,
The weather is actually pretty mild for Ontario standards. You guys out in BC really got clobbered a few times. I hope you have it cleaned up soon and don't see any more for a good long time.
Well, back to the thread. Enough OT stuff.
Hey Mike!
Explaination time, please?

He's bluffing. I developed the best EC ever. 😀

Seriously, it is the logical development of all that has gone before: simple, elegant, stable; the dog's biscuit.😎

How can you claim it is the very best if you have not yet completed testing it?
You need to build the amplifier, build or have available testing capability with the necessary sensitivity, and obtain THD-20 less than 0.0006% at full power into a 200 kHz analyzer bandwidth before you can even best what was done 25 years ago, just as a starting point.
Good luck, and we look forward to your results!
Cheers,
Bob

OK, that's it Mike; it's time for you to cut it out. Your little prank has gone too far to be funny. There will be no more warnings after this.
