Check out the Pluvia 11. It's got a nice treble peak by the looks of it. https://www.markaudio.com/online_shop/pluvia/pluvia-11-soft-chrome-vintage-gold-single-driver/Anyone knows if Markaudio will come with any new drivers soon? Would love if they would make the driver like 11MS but without being too smooth.

Ok. I dont know how much you need for a pair of speakers. I have not tried that.Looking for the big package not the small one as its really not worth it to pay so much for only 1kg of duratex.
I usually use putty and paint that is rolled on. I prefer white color. Half bright.Looking for the big package not the small one as its really not worth it to pay so much for only 1kg of duratex.

Thx also have 5kg spray and roller version, seems in stock
Anyone got any tips if there is any good alternative to duratex what else could be used to paint MDF easily?
Are these drivers hard to drive?
I have SMSL A300 amplifier which is 85W on 8ohms and i get only like 75DB on 40 volume out of 60 on my amp so it means its not even putting out 1watt at such high volume. The pot is also digital linear inside the amp.

Not hard at all. But very revealing of how good that amplifier sounds,
That means nothing. Are you providing the amplifier sufficient gain to drive it to full output. 75 dB would take about a tenth of a watt.

I tend to have as little damping as possible.Just stuffed the cabinets with polyfill around 250g but dont really like how it sounds now tho 350g would be overkill. Will put much less inside.
I think the damping ruins the sound. It becomes less of a live feeling.
Too little attenuation can make listening difficult. No control on the cone.
Something in between is best. It takes a little time to get used to it, but it's worth it.
Yes it totally killed that "live" tone and bass got weak and some highs were lost. I prefer it without any damping, Or maybe i just dont like damping with polyfill. What i if damp only the sides of the cabinet with something? Would it be different?
will put 10-12mm wool felt inside the cabinet sides. What about polyester felt or which other materials are also suitable? is 10mm-12mm enough or should i go thicker for such cabinet? 🙂
