Wheat beer is an abomination, drunk by people who listen to the Carpenters on Bose stereo and drive BMWs, Ha!! real men drink Barley brew
Seriously tho the occasional consumption of wheat beer will not kill you or make you look like a Nancy, even if you put wedges of lemon in it

OK but the bruises on ones forehead from bouncing off the cold hard porcelain edge whilst disposing of the wheat beer is a significant annoyance. I'll take a good (IPA, Stout, Lager, Porter, etc.) anytime!
BMWs are acceptable if 2wheeled and the older models before fuel injection rubbish. Bose are small enough to fit into the dustbin where they belong. Good wheat beer is not to be underestimated - it can help you through a hangover until you´re up to better things again. Horses for courses.😉
Fuel injection rubbish??? Fuel injection is to carburetion like a bit-perfect audio file through a high end DAC is to an 8-track tape. Sorry, but carburetors barely limped their way into the 1970's and the return of carburetors would bring with it a 1000 fold increase in toxic pollutants from automobiles.
FI in cars, FI in bikes - you´re right. It was the first generation electronics in BMW bikes that spoiled their reputation. Still - when some old widow says I can have her late husband´s R90S I won´t fight her.

Now that is what I wanted to hear, and I completely agree.. 😛 30+ years ago I had a boss who thought electronics in automobiles was the worst possible idea, today I would assume he would probably have a different take on that. Electronics has made modern cars incredibly reliable, and FI in particular has made them a lot more fun to drive, easy to start in very cold weather, and much cleaner. The carburetor is to the automotive world what the blunderbuss was to the world of arms - starkly primitive, that they worked as well as they did is amazing. American cars did not have the ultimately tweakable/tunable high end Webber Carbs, and generally had some primitive monstrosity from the likes of Motorcraft, Carter, Rochester, or Holley.. Give me FI any day.. 😀
I sure wouldn't trade my current AWD, fuel injected, turbocharged Subaru for a 2002ti... Now a Z3 with a 2.5 - 3.0L six would be a horse of another color.. Can I have both? Please? 😛😛
(I'm not a fan of the Z4's outlandish styling, that's one aesthetically unappealing car to me. Never mind the Z5 which is too expensive..)

I'm about the buy a Subaru Baja (sometimes called a cruck) and I like a wheat beer occasionally otherwise I'll continue with my brothers homebrew IPA's he makes. I switched my factory fuel injected RX-7 to a Weber carb and it did make more power. Then I bought an aftermarket fuel computer and I made even more power and achieved better fuel mileage. I could make adjustments from the drivers seat without shutting the engine off. Try to do that with a carb.
Why did I type all that? Having tried all the things you guys are talking about I felt it my responsibility to jump into the conversation and express my otherwise unwanted opinion. Just gotta love the internet.

Still totally cool.. 😀
MPM, "unwanted opinion"? There ain´t none such beast. There are people of the "I have my opinion, don´t bother me with facts" ilk, but let´s hope they stay elsewhere. Anytime we can have a friendly disagreement and clink glasses instead of exchanging insults we´re at home with friends.

sakellog - being German I am, of course, an absolute beer nazi. Get your behind to Deutschland, fasten seatbelt on a barstool in a microbrewery and forget everything that ever got on your nerves.😀

Nothing wrong with wheat beer on a hot summers day!
I have fond memories of a school trip to Bavaria where I came across a rather tasty Wheat Doppel Bock (the legal age for beer consumption in Germany is 16) although I would not recommend it if you have to drive home in an equally bavarian BMW 2002 turbo!

Legal at 16 in Belgium too where I sampled my first good beers around that time. Excellent public transportation and the fact that I could not get my license until 18 left me with no need to worry about drinking and driving.. What happened on long trolley car rides home with very inebriated friends was another matter.. 😱 😀 (FWIW I got my driver's license a few months after my 21st birthday, since then I have done more than enough driving to make up for the late start.. Greater than 900,000km at this point on a rethink. 😀)
@ Pit IMHO regional microbrews here in the USA are far superior to what most major brewers offer here, probably a bigger difference than might be the case in Germany. (Any German beers seemed pretty good to me at the time I got to try them.) And I don't mean Sam Adams either, although some of their limited availability craft beers are quite good.
Oktoberfest in Belgium is something to experience, as it is in Germany..

Yours appears to be cold but is sweating......You need a thick glass frozen mug to enjoy proper.🙂
