Beer is sacred

Here is another example of how weird we are.

Texas history books say that Texas was the only state to join the US by treaty rather than by annexation. Yankee history books (books not written in Texas) say that Texas was annexed. The truth is that we did join by treaty but it was called an annexation.

Annexexation is a legal term that is not commonly understood. The annexation process is commonly initiated by the party wishing to join with another enitity and involves a vote of those within the boundaries of the annexation. We almost always "hear" of a one sided, or coersed "annexation", which is actually an excersize of Eminate Domain.

Watched the show - Indeed Beer Saved the world - and it still is!!

Beer dates back to 9000 BC and was being brewed 3000 years before it was discovered how to make bread (the kind you eat - not the one you spend).

Beer was responsible (well growing barley actually) for the need to keep records and thus writing was created followed shortly by math.

The builders of the pyramids were paid - in beer. The Pharaohs were put to rest with urns of beer to see them into the afterlife.

Louis Pasteur discovered germs while looking for the reason that beer went bad and thus developed germ theory of disease.

Lot's and lot's of fun facts to think about - while you are enjoying - a beer. 😀
