Oliver or EPA do I need to order any passive crossover for the selenuimD2500Ti-N- 81" horn driver and the beta 12a driver or the DCX 2496 will take care of everything.. I want to place the order today for everything.

using the 2496 you dont need x-overs because its bild in the device.
you do need seperate 3 amps for low mid and high .
or you could use 2 amps and x-over to the selenium passive.

Just two quick questions:
1. A long time ago we used to sometimes use capacitors in series with compression drivers to prevent any possibility of DC offsets from frying the voice coil, is that still being done?
2. Would designing the Beta-12-2 into an enclosure as I had it for the Selenium make it easier to design and build?

Start with a nominal amount and if it sounds a little boomy add some more until you are happy. Rockwool insulation works well.

1 with todays modern amps it is not necesarry.
2 i think so yes.i see if i can make a 4 section conical sim.
i also like the ideer to put the driver in the front grill.

question:whe need some sort pipe from 80mm inside dimensions,i was thinking about plumming pipe(on this side of the pond whe have 90mm pipe with wall thinkness off 5mm.)
whe could make a horn with the pipe centered with the driver in it.
