I've been absent from this forum for many years - life can, alas, get in the way of hobbies.
I've just lost several days trying to catch-up with the N! iterations of potential amp projects. Holy crap you lot have been busy !!!!

Looking for something to replace my aging (but very loyal) Aleph5 ... looking at Nelson's XA25 as something I would be interested in.
This, as they say, looks to be just what the doctor ordered.

When you get to PCB orders, I would be very interested.

Mighty Zen Mod’s XA252 looks like fun. Also LuDEF and others…
Something else to consider is Nelson’s own Aleph J. Very solid 25 Watts of single ended Class A goodness. 🙂

A lot of fun ... but somewhat impractical! And you're worried about heat in a XA252 ??!!

The nicest compliment I got was a simple email "now that's an amplifier" ... but it was from one of the lead engineers at Sandia Labs, responsible for the Z-machine,

I’ll stand with my recommendation for the Aleph J. It’s the embodiment of finesse.

J is a Jewel (and it is more handsome Cousin of amp which was declared as Amp of Decade) ........ but XA252 is completely different Animal

with 35Vdc rails, 50 of very special Watts

and , two more different flavors ........
