It is possible to measure voltages before the installation of the Nutube. Has been done (I did it), search function is your friend as obviously some voltage values are then different.
Enables you to make sure all is rght before installing the - quite valuable- Nutube.

I'm building the B1 from the kit and I just stupidly broke the 50K pot. I have 100K and 20K Alps volume pots on hand. Worth waiting for another 50K pot from Parts Express, or use one of the others on hand? I'll be using the preamp with the ACA.
Either will work. I would use the 20K and not worry about it one bit. I am using 25K.
Hi Konst,
There is no downside from an electrical POV going from 10uF to 100uF. But also electricaly no benefit at all as the 10uF caps are already well oversized.
Sonics are of course another matter, depending on the quality of the caps you intend to use and your taste. No danger trying...
Have fun

All B1K pre-orders have now shipped and things have settled down enough that I feel comfortable making the ~100 or so left over units available for sale. Available while stocks last:

Hi all, I recently finished my B1 Korg and had no real issues to start, but recently it has been making a rhythmic ticking or clicking sound from the speakers which does not depend on its volume level or input. Its not really audible when playing music except during very quiet passages but I would like to sort this out. Also, it makes a high frequency whine right after it turns on but then it goes away. I'm guessing that is the tube microphony. Any advice on the ticking? Thanks!
