Hi Peter,
You may have answered this in the original Patek thread, but I can't seem to find it.
Where do you get your perforated metal for the top of your "Patek" line? Metal supermarkets? What is the thickness and hole diameter?
Thanks,
Alex

The holes are 0.1" dia with a pitch of 0.190 and 0.330" (diamond pattern), 0.40 thick.
I got that particular material surplus, but will need to buy more. The Metal Supermarkets can order it for you from that place: http://www.diamondman.com/index.html

Peter Daniel said:That assembly slides into 2 x 3" aluminum tubing, the board is attached to the bottom using six 1/4" standoffs. That locks the front plate in position.
2 x 3 ordered.
Have you got diagrams with sizes for the front and rear panels?
Yeah, I got the drawings and can email them to you.
However, the DAC in a wooden enclosure sounds better, and even better without any enclosure (that's how I'm using mine).

what grit do you recommend for sanding fresh cut aluminum. to give it that nice smooth finish? 😉
Peter
given the increasing interest in computer audio, have you any plans to add a USB (preferably direct USB-12S) input to your NOS DAC?

I surely think about it, and eventually it will be implemented.
Thanks for the info on the DAC Peter.
No sooner I ordered the DAC just over a week ago and it was here....... via Canada Post and 5 working days to Oz.

Yes please. My email is i dot j dot russell at tesco dot net.
I am going to build both enclosures and see which I like best. Unfortunately, domestic arrangements require an enclosure.
