I’d just replace them all with polys.

If they were mine I'd consider poly.

I've also given your suggestion some thought.
Poly last longer, as electrolytic deteriorate over time, but poly vary considerably in sonic characteristics.
So, for speakers which aren't top end, isn't it better to get quality electrolytic's over pedestrian poly's?

Thanks Allen.

Any economical Oz sources for the Nichicon DB series, or Panasonics?

I've gleaned Chinese Nichicon sources from the internet.
To be frank, in general terms, I find product from China is of very poor quality.
Then there is "copy" product rife.
I mean, a Chinese EBayer located in Shen Zhen lists his Nichicon Caps as being "Origin Japan".
How believable is that?

Also is BP-P the same as DB series?

@CliffR52 has since expressed a preference for axial bipolar electrolytics.

From Mouser Australia:

Mouser 10 uF: https://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Cornell-Dubilier-CDE/106BPA050M?qs=3tP%2BN51vMXd/uEIqFC5ovQ==

Mouser 4.7 uF: https://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Cornell-Dubilier-CDE/475BPA050M?qs=3tP%2BN51vMXckO%2BnNYbRTag==

"Crossover Networks" are mentioned as an application for these "BPA" capacitors.: https://www.cde.com/resources/catalogs/BPA.pdf

I would regard these capacitors as electrically equivalent to the ELCAP capacitors originally fitted to the vintage crossovers.

I've also found an Australian supplier of Mundorf bipolar electrolytics: https://www.soundlabsgroup.com.au/c/Mundorf-Bipolar-Audio-ECAP.html

Unfortunately there's no inclusion of a 5 uF (4.7 uF), but two 10 uF caps could be wired in series if funds permit.

Thanks G.

Cornell Dubelier have a good reputation as well.

I was thinking: : " Grab 2 of the 10uF ELCAP's & 4 x 4.7 uF Cornell Dubilier's".

Any issue with mixing brands?

Would the 10uF cap be filtering the tweeter in the MS's?
It being +-5% and a small probability it will do a better job over the Cornell Dubelier??!!

Good thinking, but you mean two 10 uF Mundorfs.

Not in my book!

The basic crossover circuit will be as follows:

@AllenB may confirm the position of the 10 uF cap, but I think it is probably on the woofer.

However, I wouldn't worry about the positioning. The proof will be in the pudding!

EDITED!
