I have a old question about this project, What could happen if we use the first Diagram thet NPass did presented on the 2013 BAF, without the capacitors, using the secondaries in the pass of polarization of the Vfet? I knew that no dc in this transformer, but if we see carefully, the two DC are in opposite of phase and became neutralized the saturation of the magnetic field (in case that this happen) The only difference is the drain voltage +-23volt.
This is my next project. I have ordered Vfets and am trying to get all the parts together.
Are there any more boards available or is there someone who wants to sell a pair?

@ David
Try in group buy or ask in want to buy swap meet forum section.
Maybe subscibe for next pcb's run too.

@ Dady Cool
Interesting question amigo

Greetings
Good question( I have a sett those Sony fets but I missed the GB)
Did someone had the chance to compare these amplifier with the F5.
Thank you
6 Moons reviewed the SIT1 and gave a comparison of it and the F5 but I would not think the DIY Vfet would be a very accurate comparison to an SIT1 that NP built but you may get an idea. By the way, in the last of the review there is a comment by NP about Semisouth closing that I found interesting.
Postscript. When news hit the Internet that SemiSouth had closed its doors for good, Nelson had this to say on October 10, 2012: "Too bad considering that they were nice people with a great product, in Mississippi no less. Fortunately I bought large quantities, enough to last me 5 years or so even with an allowance for repair parts. I also bought a large quantity of a part that I haven't even got around to designing with yet..."
Is there any speculation on what this mysterious "I also bought a a large quantity of a part that I haven't got around to designing yet " is. How about a teaser Mr Pass?

Have a look at the manual for SIT-1, page 12 at the bottom. There you can read:Is there any speculation on what this mysterious "I also bought a a large quantity of a part that I haven't got around to designing yet " is. How about a teaser Mr Pass?

"Here is a picture of First Watt's SIT device"
You may be right, but this statement was made in the review of the SIT 1 which is dated June 2012 and the statement in the review is supposed to be made by Mr Pass 10/10/2012 as a postscript so the Pass SIT had already been used in a circuit and an amplifier, SIT-1 already made. Mr Pass is the only one who knows for sure I guess.
SIT-1 - 6moons on Firstwatt's site is where I found the review. The statement was made on the last page at the bottom of the article about the closing of Semisouth.

I am sure of one thing in my life and that is I have made many, many mistakes. I am an old bird and I am just happy to find my nest at night.
I am very curious what else Nelson is going to come up with. If anyone knows no one is talking. The answer must be hid deep in the warehouse of the master.

Maybe it isn't coincidence that the F7 review and vfet part 2 article are pending at the same time?

Doubt it. 2SKxxx parts not enough available for production. F7 is for production.
Hi all
I have completed the CSX1 (-casing) and a DCB1 to drive them, my regulated voltages are a bit low approx 22.5V. Is there any preference to using higher value zeners or adding a LED to the string or even a trimpot to meet the target voltage.
