If people want one, I'm sure we could fit one in. This meeting is for everyone, but I must insist that they are mostly diy cables, and not all commercial!

You should, I'm a very experienced bar fighter. Or dwarf tosser, I forget which.
The asterisks were not anything dirty (at least in American), they're t-o-s-s-e-r. I'll never figure out this stupid autocensor.

Don't worry, it looks like Bas is coming along. He's a one man peace keeping force.

Only in America could they have such things... And the word *is* rude in Britain! lol
IIRC, dwarf-tossing was either British or Australian in origin. Time to do some research...
edit: here we go, it's Aussie:

And the Brits make their claim:

This will be an interesting get-together.

I'd never heard of dwarf tossing before (strange how there's always someone to lower the tone of the conversation), but I think I like this explanation best:

Strange how it always seems to be me.

Just flicked through the Sky Sport channels.... and nothing 🙁
I had visions of Kenny Baker catching some air.

I suspect it's more a Eurosport type of thing, like those strange Swedish cross-country trucks and those Germans that spend all their time jumping on and off barrels on motorcycles.
What about curling? 40 lb hunks of granite being carefully slid down the ice to stop on an overgrown wing target. Great for smokers and drinkers. Now that's athletics. Guess what? Canadians are near the top in that one too. Oh, the pride is just oozing out of me now.
40lb lumps of granite, sounds far too much like hard work. For smoking and drinking experts, I would have gone for professional darts...
Anyway, back to the real topic. Give me some more ideas about what you like to learn about, we can fit in a couple more presentations. Oh, and ideas on particular listening tests you would like, so I can start organising those.

Professional darts is a fine example of lard tossing.
Ooh, the shame is just oozing out of me now.
(How's about a Scot in a skirt, running around with a big woody ?)
I just know this will seem boring
Learn about: modd'ing digital source thingys
Listening tests: what I now term the MDF Mating Call; that nasty shriek from an MDF panel in a loudspeaker - does anyone else hear it? or is just me and my equally geriatric neighbour who gives me an honest 🙂 opinion.

Yeah I get that at least once a year.
