Hi Jon
Need to check the board to see if its marked wrongly, or if it was just me, but yes. See my before picture too!
if I read the manual correctly (where it is marked the right way 🙂)
Anyway it's definitely reversed to the tune of 1.5v
Thanks for pointing it out - i was on the verge of putting the top back on!

May I ask a question about the TA-4650?
I have sort of restored my set, with upgrading to main caps and changing out every electrolytic caps. Replaced the death diodes...etc.
Biased as per manual properly and it works and sings fine.
However, I noticed when music is played thru AUX, and if I turn the selector switch to any other positions, I will hear distorted music, and it is quite loud!
Is this interchannel separation normal? On my other amps, I need to crank up vol near max to hear faint interchannel sound.
Is this the selector switch issue or the line cables quality issue?
Thanks!

Did you bias to 45 mV as per the. Dutch service bulletin?
In regards to inter channel cross talk, I get some low level amount, not loud at all though. It is distorted heavily though.
I only have 1 source connected though.
Yes, I did bias at 45mV.
I am wondering if changing out those line cables from the RCAs to the selector switch will improve crosstalk.
Or just leave it be.

Yes it is installed as per silkscreen, (so incorrectly) I just checked the board - one more to be careful of! Cant figure out how to edit the original post with a be careful so I hope anyone coming across this thread gets this far!Andy,
Please check polarity of C209.....

Hi, just to be clear are you talking about multiple sources playing at the same time and you can hear crosstalk or is it a case of hearing the source even when it's not selected (albeit distorted)?Yes, I did bias at 45mV.

Sort of immaterial - I'm not experiencing that at all, For reference, I have source on AUX1 and 'EXT ADPT', 'TAPE COPY' and 'MONITOR' all on the 'Source' setting. If I crank the volume to max, with another function selected (so select AUX2 with input to AUX1), there's nothing at all. (OK some Humm on phono but thats to be expected)
All I can think of is some contamination of something on the switching board. It's all very mechanical and somewhat open. If it helps I didn't really touch the audio wiring at all.

@meanie,
One other thing, I just moved back to my original 5650 (while I resolder the cap Jonboylaw pointed out). That amp that wasn't cleaned AS thoroughly as I would like, while not suffering from cross-talk, it is quiet. Maybe 30 degrees behind on the (scratchy) volume track compared to the 4650
