Better to buy a newish model, if not new, in India there are many choices in the 90-150 GBP range from many makers.
The new phones are with bigger batteries, and the ability to zoom fonts, which is useful.
I sold an old Lenovo phone for 8 GBP, it was from 2014, Android 5 or 6.
A few months back got a Samsung M12 for my father, 100 GBP, 4/64 GB model.

Two multi meters, a 'Sumwa' YX-360 analog, $4, and a cheap DMM, $1.60.
The Sumwa is a copy of the old Sanwa 360, I think. Enough for battery check, motor continuity and clock work.
2 x 18650 cells, 3000 mAh, with a cordless phone type connector on their wires, $1 each.

Almost impossible to buy 18650 batteries in Australia now. Ebay rules that they must be sold with a device that uses them. This is government interference, the claimed reason is that it's a safety issue (early versions can catch fire under obscure circumstances) but the real reason is suppression of vaping, which comes from the medical industry courtesy of an edict from the AMA. Fscking social engineering.
I'm a fan of the Moto G phones. On my 3rd one, a Moto G Power that I bought used a month old.
Bought a Timex for $20. Just thought I would try one. Want something light. Haven't worn a watch in years, wore a Fitbit before that, and big heavy watches before that.

I have a Moto E6 as it was a good compromise. I got a prepaid card for it today for the time I spend in USA. Also got a card for my iPad.
Got?! I had to pay for both.

20 solar panels for our household. Made in Europe (Spain). Had to wait a long time after ordering in March this year due to all sorts of material shortage. It’s working fine now, with a nice app to see the revenues.

20 bucks for both...bough them both because one box had only one INA110...8x 100k liniar multiturn Bourns pots, 16 X high quality switches, 6× INA102, 2X INA110, 2 x lm337/317 regs...Perfect phono preamp boxes.

I bought parts for a 30 mA / 300 mA analog current meter to be used with tubes (in my case). The 30mA meter is from AliExpress. I choose analog because it’s easier to see changes when making adjustments.
First I had to add a 100 Ohm resistor across the meter to get an exact reading of 30mA. The meter itself is approx. 2.5 Ohm.
For a reading of 300mA I used approx. 1 metre of wire and a resistor of 0.15 Ohm in series across the meter (with the switch).
Tomorrow I will build a second one identical to this one. You can never have enough measurement tools!

Nice.
FYI: This 100mA meter is a directly in series Ammeter . Easier to work with for me.

There's also a 500mA version: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/173197866582

Sure that meter works OK, I need different values (30 / 300 mA) for my tube projects. 30 mA is fine for all driver stages and G2 for final tubes. 300 mA is fine for most final tubes (plate / cathode). I needed a “better” solution for breadboarding without loose wiring.

A DMM works just as good. I once bought a NOS "digilog" DMM for that but it still is new in box for over 20 years 🙂
That having said...I still like analog instruments better over displays but only true NOS/NIB instruments so very sturdy aircraft meters and such.

The AEG are made in 1956 and packed for tropical storage. Packed in wool, then in carton box, packed in a second carton box and that carton box dipped in hard wax (now removed).
