Moved from UK to Wellington 15 years ago and have not only food but also gas and water stored for earthquakes and a tent we can use in the garden if the house is buggered. Just watch out for stuff with tomatoes in acidic little things eat their way through tins leaving a mess on everything else.

Finally, someone who gets it.

Bought various small parts for my dirt bike. The only interesting item was a relatively big LED off road lamp to use as a headlight. Took a chance as the lights wattage rating is higher that the alternator's rating. However, I have played around with a couple of other cheap Chinese lights, and I think I understand how they are rated, it's a maximum total power draw when the internal regulator is working hardest, not the actual power dissipated by the LED's. If I'm wrong I guess I've got a new worklight I didn't need.

A Hitachi HA-610 with an issue (protection) and not just a little corrosion on the top cover and transformer (although, this is common in this neck of the woods for shed stored gear). This is ostensibly a high quality amp from 1975 with two sets of output TO-3 BJTs and boasting 0.006% THD at half rated power (70W in 8 Ω or 90W in 4Ω both driven) I may have got slightly excited on the bidding [emoji13] but it's all there and it'll look and sound lovely once it's cleaned up and fettled.

What kinda dirt bike?
I used to race HS/GNCC.....tried yammie 426/450 for several years but ended up on Ktm 300 until I couldn’t do it anymore.....compiled waaay to many injuries over the yrs and arthritis has taken control!

It's not running yet, it's a 1980 XR200 in all its dual shock glory. It doesn't need a lot to get going, I stupidly nicked the carb slide guide. If the carb turns out to be a loss, I will just replace it with a Chinese clone carb. It's one of those survivor bikes, 40 yrs old but not many miles on it. Plan is to get it going and hit the provincial OHV trail.

I just bought a 34mm spade bit on ebay because no store in my city (not even the specialty tool shop that all the trades people use) carry metric wood bits of any sort.

Once again reminded why two systems of measurement is not better than one, eh?

Those are rather scarce. There is a large German company that is cloning vintage synths. I decided to clone their clone for my Moog style ladder filter. They use some tiny SMD parts, but Amazon (and others) sell little adapter boards to convert these to 100 mill pin spacing so they plug right into those white experimenter breadboards.

The PMP4201V is what they use. I have also used the DMT5551 and the DMC20601. All of them work in the typical Moog ladder filter circuit, and the log converter part of the VCO. I have not compared how they track in the VCO since I'm making filters. All have slightly different pinouts, so I'll pick the part that fits my layout best once I get that far.

There is a schematic on the web for the clone. Google this "POCQJ" It should take you to a gearslutz.com page with the schematic for the modern model D
