And what did we buy today?

It’s a really good thing tubes aren’t ESD sensitive. I’m having a hell of a time getting the packing peanuts off my hands.

We used to dump some of those into coworkers cars with vinyl interiors as a practical joke back in the day. They would move away from your hand as you tried to pick them up.

Today I picked up a nos industrial power supply for a project, 5v 6a for a small computer.

In the early 70,s I can remember driving with my dad in his 66 beetle and pulling into a gas station and the sign said 17cents
a gallon… nobody was complaining about gas prices in those days
Also on Lake Mead water skiing when we filled up the boat and it was 99 cents and we were outraged !

How times have changed

When my dad was a kid, he's go get his mother smokes from the store - 35 cents for a small pack, and 41 cents for a large pack. That was in the early 1950's.

I quit smoking ~3 years ago when they reached 10$ for a small pack. It's now ~12.50$ for that pack.

I payed $8.2/gal today for diesel. 🙁

I also bought a new suspension kit. I had worn out strut bearings. When I replaced them, I discovered that the struts was shot.
Got a Bilstein B12 pro kit with springs far cheaper then 4 separate B8 dampers without springs

I ordered up an ADC and a 15ft optical cable to use with a DAC to try and break a ground loop once and for all... It's the faintest ground buzz - the clock on the wall is louder - but I can hear it and it bothers the hell out of me!
