Amp to drive 1ohm ribbon, using Dx

Nah, Im a chicken, and will try with 2ohm first 😀

Actually, like any other tweeter, my ribbon may need some attenuation, but Im not sure how a 1-2 ohm resistor will affect a zero ohm driver

1 ohm on a 1.25M x 6 mm, .25 ohm ribbon tweeter, i was able to get some attenuation on the top, +/- 2db from 7K to 20K..

btw, you should try to make your own DIY "graphite resistor" alike DCA

Yes , i still do play the ribbon ( 3 way) very much so ....

Interesting a graphite resistor ! sounds better and measure better than wire? would love to see what you have on it .

Tho, Im not sure why he prefer wooden pencils, instead of the raw graphite leads
Maybe its to get thicker leads
