So according to the graphic you shared the internal height is 965 and total height is 1003
My case i have internal height of 929 and total height of 965
Internal width and depth is as per the original plan only the internal height was affected

Its already built. Now its irreversible from a structural point of view. Can i adjust this error by changing the polyfill or something. And one thing to consider is that i di dont have braces inside so whatever volume the braces was supposed to take is freed up for me.

Berly,
Sorry for the confusion - I did not realize that the cabinets were fully built, and was thinking that you are still in the middle of assembly / gluing up process.
Since the cabinets are fully built, nothing much to do construction wise. 🙂
Have you started playing music with them? My wild a**ed guess is that they shorter line length and reduced cabinet volume will result in a few Hz less extension, a bit of bass bump, and maybe some more ripple (which stuffing can probably help with).

I haven't acquired the drivers yet. So lets see. Fingers crossed. Volume the is not much difference because as i said i havent put braces. But line length yes 3.5 cm less length

Berly,
It will be good if you can put in a few pieces of 18 mm x 25 mm x 203 mm sized plywood bars in between the two sides. Understand that you did not want to go for the full blown bracing scheme.

Zia.
I actually wanted to do the bracing. But for making the bracing it will cost me alot in labour to a point its not feasible. But the idea you gave might be doable. Let me try

Please refer to the attached graphic - this Pensil 11 plan shows the internal height as 965 mm.
Please don’t. That one is incorrect. Material thickness is too high for the designed terminus (18-20mm deep). I will remove it.
This is the right drawing. For both Alpair 11ms and Pluvia 11.

MA has, unfortunatly publlished alot of Scott’s stuff that isn’t really ready for prime time, that this one has been habging around for half a decade is unencouraging.

It will make a little bit of difference, but the large volume of the Pensils will mean that it will not be catastrophic, i would just go ahead and enjoy them for a while (at least).

It i true that the labour in the brace can get near to whay the entire rest of the box takes.
dave
I followed the latest plan only.
But messed up the internal height as i was explaining to zia.
Is there any indirect fix to it. Maybe adding an extra piece inside the cabinet perpendicular to the port to increase effective length of transmission line is a solution..?

I would not worry about it.
dave
If you are not worried then im relieved.
I will take your advice and go along.
Thanks Dave.
Have a good day

Its not a gap. Its only a color variation of the ply.
I felt the same initially when looking from a distance.

Zia and dave thanks alot for the help.
Zia maybe we can meet up some day when i have a layover in dakha.

Berly,
Sounds great and please give me a heads up when you are headed this way. 🙂
If you haven't already ordered from Mark Audio directly, you can also check with Stefan of KJF Audio who are based in the UK. They might be able to ship you from the UK, and that might be closer vs China.
Take care.

I checked in the website shipping is 63 euro.
Usually shipping stuff from china to uae ia cheaper than this. So lets see. Waiting for reply from mark audio support.

Gentlemen. Ive got the drivers with me and installed on the box.
Warming up right now. So i thought of measuring the room response pre warmup and got a complex freq response graph. Above 150 hz i can pretty much see the similar response as mark audio published. But from 70hz to 150hz there is significant drop in the graph. Below 70 hz the bass is very linear until 40hz and then drops in a slope.
Any idea what would be the contributing factors to 70hz to 150hz drop. Can it be the warmup of drivers.
I will make another measurement tonight after around 10 hours.
