Looks like a great product sonnya...I know this is DIYAudio but I'm pretty n00b to this sort of thing... (Buying an Ultrasonic cleaner led me here in the first place!)

What level of skill would you say is required for someone new to diy to assemble one of your v1.1 setups?

Most of the work is done. I would suggest that i would supply you with an powersupply for it with the needed cable ..

Then i will make sure you get the cables needed and you will only need to cut holes and connect cables.

Hello Joca.

There is a lot extra packed down on the same space.

Compared to the previous model following items has been added:

  • USB isolation
  • Reclocking (Space for Crystek CCHD957 low phase noise crystals)
  • 1 SPDIF RCA
  • 1 OPTICAL SPDIF
  • I2S interface
  • SRC4392 for handling the I2S, OPTICAL and RCA SPDIF
  • Cortex M0+ 256Kbyte flash Microcontroller for controlling DAC settings without interference from USB controller, that makes it much more flexible
  • 30 pin FFC connector for managing frontpanel or future improvements. Good platform for OEM design in mind where designers can make there own preamp section, DAC filter section, Own frontpanel design.

I have been quiet all weekend, as I have been working on the frontpanel.

After Talking to Aboe we where both find it could be good with Frontpanel that matches GX288 from HIFI2000 in italy. It is a cheap case and we can get backpanel and frontpanel customized to look really nice.

Anyway, that is what i am doing know. Drawing the panels for with an plexiglass insert in the frontpanel. The plexiglass insert has holes for buttons and will have text printed on the plexiglass.

I am going to send out some more paypal invoices to the early birds orders today to make sure i have stock for the deliveries.
